Trustees of the South Kilburn Trust

The Trust’s vision is to support people in South Kilburn improve their lives and make their communities stronger, happier and healthier. We do this by providing a range of quality space, opportunities, and support, principally through The Granville, our recently opened multi-purpose community and workspace hub in the heart of South Kilburn.

The Trust is entering an exciting period.  We need make The Granville work, both as a well-used community hub and shared workspace, and as a successful social enterprise. We want to increase the services on offer at The Granville for local people, either from ourselves or through our partners.  So it’s a great time to join us.

We are currently looking for 3 new Trustees.  We are interested in people who either live locally or have a strong connection to the local area. We also need to ensure we have a diverse board that reflects the make-up of the area, and therefore welcome applications from a broad range of people. And although not essential, we would welcome people with skills in community engagement, IT/digital, fundraising, law or marketing.

Trustees serve on the Board, taking responsibility for the organisation overall, although the day to day running is led by our Chief Executive. This is a voluntary position, with meetings held in the evening 6 times a year plus an annual away day. You may also be invited to join one of our sub-committees which meets every 3 months if you bring a particular interest and experience.

If you would like more information then please email us at hello@southkilburntrust.org or call 020 7328 1199 and request a 'Further Information' pack. If you are then interested in applying, send us your current CV and a covering letter setting out any relevant experience and skills. If shortlisted, we will then invite you to meet two of our existing Board members. For an informal conversation or more information please contact Mark Allan, Chief Executive, at mark@southkilburntrust.org.

Closing date for applications Sunday 15th July 2018.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!
